What does all this mean? It means Hunter Air cuts no corners when it comes to safety and performance.
The Bush Hawk XP is an exciting new design for 2005. The construction of the forward fuselage allows the plane to have four large doors that make it a snap to load and unload passengers and equipment. The sturdy frame absorbs engine and propeller vibrations, making for an extremely smooth flight. The Bush Hawk XP can carry over 1,150 pounds of passengers and equipment with amphibious floats. Inside the squared rear fuselage is enough room to transport anything from 10 foot lumber to five empty 55-gallon drums. The three removable rear seats can be folded and stored inside the floats during flight if needed to carry more gear.
Every possible convenience and safety option has been provided. Additional steps have been added to the plane and a custom rolling ramp created to make entry and exit as easy as walking up a flight of stairs. Ultra-wide viewing windows give all passengers ample opportunity to see and photograph the lanscape in all directions. The voice-activated headsets not only make it easy to chat with the pilot and the other passengers, but also have active noise dampening technology to reduce the impact of engine noise. Your pilot, Hunter Horvath, will provide narration throughout the flight, explaining the history and interesting features in the areas you fly over.
The one-piece wing provides several benefits. The empty weight of the plane is reduced and the absence of support struts makes for unimpeded movement along the floats and less difficulty entering and exiting the plane. The great strength and high efficiency design of the wing allows higher airspeeds, more lift and great stability in the air.
Aerocet composite floats are an amazing performance advance over the standard riveted aluminum seaplane floats. These composite floats are immune to corrosion. They have a lower drag in the air and the water because of their smooth surface, and they will float the plane higher in the water, even with more weight. One-piece molded construction means no leaks, a notorious problem with riveted floats. Aerocet floats have an efficient aerodynamic and hydrodynamic design that translates to safer landings and takeoffs, even in rough waters. Ample storage areas inside the floats mean we can safely haul some types of gear that wouldn't be allowable inside the passenger area. With our new amphibious Aerocet floats we can now take off and land at any commercial or private air strips as well as continue to provide sea and lake landings.
